Saturday with the trips

This past Saturday, Brad and I spent the day at Port Discovery in Baltimore with Dave, Jen and the trips. Port Discovery is a hands on children's museum with lots of things to see, touch and best of all, lots of room to run wild! I can definitely understand why my sister in law has been hesitant to bring them without 1 adult per child. For Brad and I, it wasn't our typical Saturday but we had a blast watching the kids have so much fun. Uncle Brad even got the green light from Aunt Christy to go out with his buddies on Sat. night, but he was found on the couch half asleep curled up under a blanket by 8:00pm. Looks like everyone was tired out from our big day. Mackenzie loved the ball pit.
Kyle: Are you sure it's okay if I slide down this thing?

Brady..... an intellect just like his Uncle Brad

The museum had story time and then we had a special visit from none other than Curious George himself. Although very intrigued and curious themselves about this lifesize monkey wearing a tshirt, the trips didn't want to get too close.

Saturday night was Brady's night to have a sleepover at our house. I love having each of them individually. It is so fun to see their personalities as a singleton and to get to really spoil them with attention.

I think the B man is very skeptical as to why there isn't a little screen with Baby Einstein in this car......

A New "Pal" for Winston

Recently a family on our street got a beagle puppy named Pal. He is so adorable and it's so much fun to watch him and Winston play together..... that it makes me contemplate getting a beagle brother or sister for Winston. Many of you out there say having 2 dogs is much easier than only one. With 2 dogs, they can entertain each other and stay active and not drive their owner insane. While I'm still undecided of whether or not to "add on" to our little family, I think we'll definitely be seeing a lot more of Pal since he can't walk by our house without running up our driveway to the front door.

Baby G is on the way!

This past Sunday my sister in law and her mom threw a baby shower for one of my best friends, Jill. Jill just happens to be my sister in law's sister. Jill and I have been friends since I transferred down to Towson University in 1998 and she is actually responsible for me meeting Brad. Jill's sister, Jen (my now sister in law) married Brad's brother. It sounds kind of strange, but it is in no way incestual! Jill's nursery theme is giraffe's and polka dots, so the shower theme was also giraffes and polka dots. My sister in law and I are very much alike in the sense that when we plan and throw a party, no detail is spared. The decorations were adorable and the food was delicious. My father in law and Danita made the cake below. Not only did it look perfect, but it tasted amazing too.

Jill and Jen's fun aunt Jo Jo decided to spice up the shower with a gambling pool for the baby. I have never in my life seen a baby pool or any other pool for that matter so organized. The buy in was $5 and we needed to select the gender, weight, height, birth day and time. Jo will be compiling all of the bets and putting it up on a website for all to view. My prediction is a girl, born on Feb. 11th at 3:33pm. I think my guess for weight was 8lbs 12 ounces and 21 3/4 inches long. I have been 100% accurate in guessing the sex of all of my close friends babies. Now, I'm not saying I'm psychic or anything, but I do have strong visions (only when it comes to this though!) I predicted my friend Jen was having a boy, my friend Elizabeth a girl, my friend Amy a boy and from the day my sister in law and brother in law announced they were having triplets, I knew it was going to be 2 boys and a girl. I had predicted my friend Erica was going to have a boy and the night before she had her C section, I had a dream of her walking down our street pushing a little blonde curly haired girl on a tricycle toy. Sure enough, she had a little girl and she has the most adorable blonde curly hair. Initially, I thought Jill was having a boy, but I am pretty confident it is a girl.
I'll keep you all posted! The official due date is February 6th.

Happy New Year!

To kick off the new year, we threw a Monte Carlo New Year's Eve party together with our friends and neighbors, Jason and Lauren. Before our guests arrived, we kicked off the evening with shots all around! Our "bartender" Mike was not really hired help. In fact, Jason, Mike and I went to college together and it was great to see him after 10 years. I can honestly say that he has not changed one bit. He is still making drinks and shots the way I remembered him to and looks exactly the same.
Our Martha Stewart display packed with plenty of appies for the gamblers!
The roulette table.... where I lost all of my chips.
Texas Hold 'em.... I didn't even attempt this table.
Below we have some serious black jack players, including Jill who is very pregnant. Baby G brought me very good luck and I was able to win all my chips back and then some.
Our youngest guest at his very first New Year's Eve party. He is for sure Matt's mini me.
Our friend Maura was very excited to see an eligible bachelor at the party and couldn't resist
snuggling up with him.
Me and my girls. Just like old times...... kind of!
The University of Hartford crew going strong (time check 3am)

I hope everyone had a safe and happy new year's eve! Here's to a very healthy and prosperous 2008!
